Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive, radiation-free imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of organs, soft tissues, bones and other internal body structures. At Adhiraj Imaging, we offer 3 Tesla high-field MRI, which provides significantly better image quality than standard 1.5T machines.
Yes, MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves — no radiation. It is safe for most patients. However, patients with metal implants, pacemakers or cochlear implants should inform us before booking.
How long does an MRI take?
Depending on the body part, an MRI takes 20 to 60 minutes. You must lie still during the scan.
Do I need to fast before MRI?
Generally no, but for abdominal MRI scans, 4–6 hours of fasting may be required. Please confirm when booking.
Can I get MRI if I am claustrophobic?
We offer open MRI options and can provide mild sedation if required. Please inform us when booking.
